The Industrial Turnover Index reached 177.3 units (base 2015=100) in December, recording an increase of 14.8% compared to December 2021, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Friday.
In manufacturing, the Industrial Turnover Index for December 2022 reached 179.7 units, recording an increase of 13.4% compared to December 2021. Increases were also noted in the sectors of electricity supply, by 32.1% and mining and quarrying, which increased by 27%. The water supply and materials recovery sector recorded a decrease of 13.3% compared to December 2021.
For the period January-December 2022, the index recorded an increase of 21.4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
