Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik on Sunday Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Osama Askar, and a delegation of senior officers to offer greetings on the 71st anniversary of the Police Day.
Zaki expressed appreciation for the great role played by policemen during the Battle of Ismailia in 1952.
The Armed Forces appreciate the great role being played by the policemen in protecting the homeland and ensuring security of the citizens, he said, highlighting the heroic sacrifices of the current generation of policemen.
In turn, Tawfik hailed the valiant role of the Armed Forces in preserving security and stability throughout the country, which contributed to advancing.
He also praised continuous cooperation between policemen and army personnel for securing the Egyptian nation.
