Beirut, Lifting the siege on Syria is an ongoing Arab and international battle with the wide participation of various popular, political and cultural sectors, the International Arab Popular Committee to lift the siege on Syria said.

Suffering of the Syrian people as a result of this siege imposed on them represents war crimes and crimes against humanity, which must be stopped, the committee said in a statement on Saturday.

The committee stressed the necessity of rejecting the use of this suffering in order to serve the political goals of Washington and the Zionist entity.

The committee noted the level of participation of Arab personalities and leaders from all countries in the popular Arab and international campaign to lift the siege on Syria as this campaign is a first step in an action program , including the formation of committees and then the establishment of popular movements in multiple countries, to hold a large Arab and international forum to lift the siege on Syria.
