Irrigation minister discusses onging water, drainage ventures

Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Atti discussed during a meeting with Non-Executive Board Chairman of the Holding Company of Irrigation and Drainage Engineer Mohamed Sallam and members of the holding company’s affiliates a number of projects being implemented in the various water and drainage fields.

During the meeting Monday, the minister said the past period witnessed the restructuring of the holding company and its offshoots, with the aim of raising all water-operating entities’ management capabilities to improve operational components, increase profits, lure more investments, and keep pace with the latest up-to date advances, including incorporation of automated techniques that guarantee easy and speedy access to all related data.

He highlighted efforts to up and maintain the efficiency of the holding company’s equipment and stimulate useful usage of the company’s human and technical abilities, thus contributing to many ventures and more tenders.

The minister referred to an application shortlisting spare parts in the companies storehouses, with a view to reducing unnecessary purchases and utilizing available parts.

Abdel Atti issued his directives to continue on development drives to upgrade all applications involving data update that would help activate and fully utilize all newly applied modern techniques.
