Minister of Information, Jamal Al-Jarrah, on Friday met in his office at the Ministry with UNESCO's Regional Office Director for Education in Arab States, Dr. Hamed Al-Hammami, accompanied by UNESCO's Director of Communication and Information Programs in Lebanon, Dr. Georges Awad.
Discussions reportedly covered the status of UNESCO and its relationship with the Ministry of Information, in addition to the possibility of establishing joint projects between both sides.
On the other hand, Minister Jarrah met with Kataeb Party Vice head, former Minister Selim Al-Sayegh, who congratulated him on his ministerial post.
On emerging, Al Sayegh highlighted the significant role of media in spreading dialogue among cultures and among the various sides, to restore Lebanon's status as as a model for communication, despite diversity and political differences.
Al Sayegh voiced support to every endeavor to be adopted by the Ministry of Information in bolstering communication amongst the Lebanese spectrum.
Later, Jarrah welcomed in his office the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdel Aal Al-Qinai, with talks reportedly touching on most recent developments and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
