Minister of Information Jamal Jarrah received this Tuesday at his office in the ministry a delegation of the media photographers' syndicate headed by Aziz Taher, accompanied by George Kassab, brother of the kidnapped photographer Samir Kassab.
The meeting touched on the demands of the syndicate and the updates into the case of photographer Samir Kassab who was kidnapped in Syria.
The delegation invited Minister Jarrah to a symbolic gathering at the Martyrs Square on the occasion of the Martyr's Day on February 21.
In the wake of the meeting, the minister said: "We hope to hold long working session with the syndicate so as to define the steps that need to be taken."
"I met yesterday with the Association of Media Alumni, which represents a large number of media professionals suffering from the media and press crisis in Lebanon. We will work to find effective solutions for photographers and for the media," Jarrah said.
