Minister of Information, Jamal Jarrah, met Friday at his office in the Ministry, with Head of the Press Syndicate, Aouni Kaaki, accompanied by a delegation of the Syndicate's board members.
Talks reportedly touched on an array of latest general developments, in addition to media-related affairs.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kaaki indicated that the visit aimed to congratulate Jarrah on the formation of the government and his appointment on top of the Information Ministry.
He said that discussions focused on the Litani River pollution issue, as well as on media affairs, including the necessity to set controls and legal frames to social media.
"There is a limitless media chaos," Kaaki underlined.
He also indicated that talks with Minister Jarrah touched on the Syrian refugee dossier.
"Minister Jarrah considered that the real solution to this issue lies in a political agreement and that the other suggestions do not yield results," he said.
