Progressive Socialist Party Chief, former Minister and MP Walid Jumblatt, touched Sunday on current Arab conditions via his Twitter account, saying, "I know that the Arab situation today is bleak and frightening...In Syria, a methodical destruction and a systematic displacement that is ten times more than the Naka of Palestine...and in Iraq, elections and struggle for influence and the same people...while in Palestine, settlements and colonization of Jerusalem..."
"But we should never surrender to despair no matter the circumstances. We draw strength from our honorable past and we continue the struggle," Jumblatt asserted.
Jumblatt attached a photo of Palestinian and National Movement leaders during the Israeli siege of Beirut in 1982 to his tweet.
