Caretaker Economy and Trade Minister, Raed Khoury, told journalists at the Phoenicia Hotel that most of the items on the work agenda were approved with the exception of those in need for discussion.
Khoury disclosed that the digital economy issue was agreed upon, but there are some terminologies that are being discussed.
"The issue that concerns us is to encourage the return of displaced Syrians to their country in a safe and dignified manner," he said, noting that these topics need to be discussed during the meeting. "I think there will be consensus around them," he added, declaring that "there are no reservations on any item."
Referring to the level of attendance, Khoury considered that it has no effect. The issues are still the same and there has been no amendment, especially since there will be an initiative by President Michel Aoun on Sunday, as he will be presiding over this summit for four years, he explained.
In response to another question, Khoury indicated that "we have to find a mechanism to finance countries that have witnessed armed conflicts and destruction since 2013, noting that several Arab countries have suffered.
