Minister of Social Affairs, Richard Kouyoumjian, maintained in a tweet on Tuesday, that the repatriation of the Syrian refugees is the priority of the government.
"We are in Brussels for the sake of Lebanon and to lay emphasis on its European and international presence," the minister tweeted.
"Lebanon's best interest is our concern and the return of the displaced Syrians to their country is our priority, in addition to providing aid to the Lebanese host communities," he added.
Kouyoumjian also called "the trumpets" of the Syrian regime and its allies to "shut up."
"If the regime really wanted their return, it would have brought them home within few weeks," he said.
