KRCS CONTINUES DISTRIBUTING IFTAR MEALS TO REFUGEES IN N. LEBANON

BEIRUT, -- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) continued on Friday handing out Iftar (breaking fast) meals to Syrian refugee families in northern Lebanon.

In a statement to KUNA yesterday, Nabil Al?Hafedh, head of KCRS' mission, said the society distributed up to 250 Iftar meals to Syrian refugees in Al Minieh District, north of Lebanon.

In addition to meals, the KRCS also handed out toys and sweets which are in line with continued humanitarian efforts exerted by the society aiming to make Syrian refugee children happy, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, he added.

He voiced his hope that this humanitarian aid would mitigate suffering of Syrian refugees facing tough conditions.

At the beginning of Ramadan, the society has launched the humanitarian campaign of distributing up to 30,000 Iftar meals, clothes of Eid al?Fitr and other aid to Syrian refugee families in Lebanon.
