SHARM EL-SHEIKH, March 26 — Arab leaders are keen on, and interested in, the revitalization of economic activities among Arab countries to achieve development, Kuwait’s permanent delegate to Arab League Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani affirmed here on Wednesday.
The Arab leaders are very eager to support social and economic activities, Al-Daihani told KUNA on the sidelines of the meeting of the Social and Economic Council, which concluded earlier Wednesday.
Asked about the preparatory gathering for the upcoming Arab League Summit to be hosted by Egypt next Saturday, Al-Daihani said that the meeting discussed eight draft resolutions in the social and economic domains and will be submitted to the summit on Saturday.
This reflects Arab solidarity and eagerness towards the march of joint Arab action, he added.
The resolutions, he noted, included following up the resolutions of the Arab League Summit hosted by Kuwait and the 3rd Arab Economic and Social Development Summit in Riyadh 2013.
The initiative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah that calls for financing and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises was also on the focus of today’s meeting, he noted.
