Minister of Agriculture, Hassan Lakkis, maintained that his imminent visit to Syria aims to facilitate the exportation of Lebanese crops, calling not to politicize his trip.
"My next Syria visit comes within the frame of facilitating the exportation of Lebanese crops into Syria, and into Arab states through Nasib crossing," the Minister explained to Voice of Lebanon radio station.
He also called to view this visit "as sheer technical matter that serves the interest of the Lebanese."
Moreover, he clarified that such technical visits do not require the approval of the Council of Ministers.
