The projects, which fall under the General Administration of Port’s larger plan to further develop ports and improve services, estimated to cost more than SR2.10 billion.
These projects will significantly transform the two major ports of Yanbu in terms of operational capacity and supporting services.
Among the most notable projects is the establishment of a pier for handling cargo, the establishment of a pier for handling bulk shipments, the development of a designated area for delivering operational support, and the establishment of a services pier to receive passengers, ships, and yachts.
The projects also include deepening the existing piers, canals, and basins, the implementation of the Yanbu Commercial Port security system, the creation of six new piers, the rehabilitation of the existing infrastructure at the port, the manufacturing of two multipurpose locomotives, and the deepening of the entrances to the port.
