Player of the Syrian national athletics team, Majd al-Din Ghazal, won the third place in high jump competitions at Czech Ostrava Athletics Forum within the World Challenge Championship series.
Ghazal won third place after jumping to height of 2.24 meters, bearing in mind that this forum gives classification points to the players qualifying them for the World Championship.
Ghazal has gained several medals at international championships including a gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championship in Doha through which he came first in the world rankings, in addition to a silver medal at Rome Forum, a gold medal at Challenge League championship in Bratislava, a gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona in Spain, and a bronze at the Asian Games in Indonesia.
