National Dialogue Party" head, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, on Tuesday welcomed at his office in downtown Beirut US Ambassador to Lebanon Elizabeth Richard.
The pair reportedly discussed the current situation on the local, regional and international arena.
On emerging, Makhzoumi hailed the US role in the stability of Lebanon and in supporting the army, saying that the international agreement especially between Washington and Moscow on the plan for the return of the displaced Syrians to their homeland will have a positive impact on the situation in the country, particularly at the economic and security levels.
Makhzoumi also stressed that the formation of the new government and the launch of the Parliament's work is a local and international necessity.
On the other hand, Makhzoumi received outgoing Pakistani Ambassador to Lebanon Aftab Ahmad Khokhar, who came on a farewell visit at the end of his diplomatic mission in Lebanon.
The visit was a chance to dwell on the current situation in Lebanon and the broader region.
