Minister of International Cooperation Rania Mashat described ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the European Union as “diverse and rich” and is meant to realize comprehensive sustainable development and upgrade the infrastructure.
During a conference on the economic partnership between Egypt and EU on Monday, she said the cooperation portfolio between the two sides included over one billion non-refundable grants in addition to 7 billion euros in soft loans for incentivizing the private sector.
She added that the conference offers a chance for bolstering international partnerships and enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Egypt.
The conference will witness the inking of several multilateral and unilateral cooperation agreements, she said, noting that the ministry has a portfolio of major development projects at 26 billion euros.
