Environment Minister Mohammad Mashnouq received on Monday an UNRWA delegation, with talks touching on the services provided by the agency and the various fields of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of environment.
The UNRWA Director briefed the Environment Minister on the Palestinian camps environmental health strategy for the years 2016 -2021. The draft includes several points among which waste, sanitation and hygiene.
He also praised "Lebanon as a country hospitable to Palestinian refugees and displaced Syrians."
For his part, Minister Mashnouq informed the UNRWA delegation of Lebanon's suffering from the repercussions of displaced people's influx, and handed his guests a report on the environmental situation in different Lebanese regions.
