State Minister for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha El Gendy promised to do her utmost to create a business-friendly environment for Egyptian investors all over the world.

During a meeting with Egyptian businessman Wael Hassan, former real estate investment adviser at JPMorgan Chase & Co in the US, on Saturday 11/03/2023 Gendy discussed plans for launching a company specialized in promoting the investments of Egyptian expats, in coordination with various Egyptian expat communities.

She said her ministry plans to offer many investment opportunities in various domains, topped by real estate, agriculture and fisheries.

The minister also asserted her commitment to promoting the State’s efforts to lure investments, such as introducing legislative amendments, launching an industrial investment map, raising awareness of Egyptian expats, and offering integrated feasibility studies for various projects.

Highlighting Egypt’s global competitive advantages, Hassan said Egypt has good resources that could be optimized to increase the foreign exchange reserve, while creating new job opportunities for youth.

He said he is looking forward to investing in various types of Egyptian stone and raw material, which could be exported to foreign markets, including the US.

The meeting was held as part of the emigration ministry’s strategy to keep in touch with prominent Egyptian expats and strengthen their links with their motherland.
