Ministers of local development, planning witness inking ceremony of contract to establish 1st industrial complex in Fayyoum

Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy said that efforts exerted by his ministry are maintained to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to develop the Egyptian villages, as well as micro, small and medium enterprises. This is in addition to supporting the plans of the government to face unemployment among youth and bread-winning women in the different governorates to provide sustainable job opportunities to improve the living conditions of the citizens.

This came during the inking ceremony of a contract to establish the first industrial complex in Fayyoum with the participation of Planning Minister Hala el Saeed, which comes as part of an initiative of the Ministry of Local Development and Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) to provide job opportunities for youth and women.

The contract was inked by Fayyoum Governor Ahmed el Ansari, Head of FEI Mohamed el Sweedy in addition to other officials of the ministries of planning and local development.

Shaarawy lauded the support presented by Zayed to implement the initiative in the different governorates.

The initiative depends on the partnership between the state and the private sector in the micro and small enterprises, Shaarawy said.

The initiative aims at establishing industrial and productive complexes in the villages, he said.

The ministry conducted an analytic study on the similar projects and successful experiments implemented in some governorates topped by Qalubiya, he added.

Meanwhile, Ansari expressed happiness over establishing this industrial complex in Fayyoum to provide job opportunities for the residents of the governorate.
