Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary bloc MP, Dr. Hassan Fadlallah, on Tuesday stepped up calls for political concessions reaching an understanding on a new electoral law.
"We have called over and over again for an agreement on a new law that is based on full proportionality," the lawmaker added, deeming this the best solution to the Lebanese political crisis, not to mention the fact that it provides each political party with its full rights.
The lawmaker's words came in a Hezbollah ceremony at Maroun Al-Rass village marking the Resistance and Liberation national holiday.
"We are positively tackling this proposal [full proportionality]," Fadlallah added, calling on all political sides to perform their duties towards the realization of this law, which the Lebanese populace pin high hope on.
"Lebanon stands before a crucial deadline on the 20th of June. Those who wish to hold parliamentary elections should rush (...) and not waste the remaining time," he added.
Touching on the Syrian scene, the lawmaker said: "The blatant US aggression to prevent the Syrian army from liberating its land from Takfiris confirms that these Takfiris are no longer capable to withstand the situation, so the U.S. resorted directly to its warplanes and intervened directly because its agent on the ground was defeated (...) Syria and its allies will eventually win this conspiracy."
