Amarah, Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, MP for Maysan Governorate, “Raed Hamdan Al-Maliki,” announced the collection of 70 signatures from the MPs regarding lifting the paragraph of the election law and canceling the amendment law proposal that wants to restore the previous electoral system.
The MP said: “The quorum was broken and the independent MPs and emerging forces withdrew from the session and it was postponed, due to the refusal of the council presidency to cancel the paragraph from the agenda.”
He added: “Unfortunately, there is no intention to present laws that serve the people, foremost of which is the budget law, which was long overdue. On the contrary, there is a will to challenge the street and the people.”
