Washington, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, stressed strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA which stems from the long-standing historic relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.

His Highness was speaking during a visit to the USA where he met with a group of Congressmen at the Capitol Building in Washington. He affirmed keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to boost bilateral cooperation and coordination mainly in the military and defence field.

The meeting spotlighted ways of boosting bilateral relations to achieve the desired goals and serve common interests. It also reviewed regional and international issued of common concern.

The meeting was attended by ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the USA, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and Assistant National Security Advisor, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa.
