“NilePreneurs” launches program for upping exports of startups, SMEs

“NilePreneurs” initiative announced on Saturday 11/06/2022 the launch of a new training program to support exportation opportunities of startups and small and medium-sized companies working in chemical industries.

The six-month program is sponsored by Banque du Caire and will be implemented in partnership with the Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council.

Board Chairman and CEO of Banque du Caire Tareq Fayed said the program aims to help startups and SMEs operating in the sector of chemical industries develop the quality of their products and increase their competitive edge as well as tap new international markets, and thus promote digital transformation nationwide.

He underscored the importance of the initiative in upgrading abilities of young entrepreneurs and encouraging local industries along with using IT solutions and expanding digital applications usage to back different sectors in order to meet local market needs and create more job opportunities.

“NilePreneurs” is a nationwide initiative started in 2019 and powered by the Central Bank of Egypt and the Egyptian Banking Sector.

Fueled by various partnerships with governmental and private sector entities, “NilePreneurs” has been supporting startups and SMEs in the domains of manufacturing, agriculture and digital transformation through applying different innovation instruments.

The initiative is piloted at Nile University and has expanded to four other universities, and is still growing.
