JEDDAH, The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Monday condemned the sabotage of four civilian commercial vessels near the territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates.
"This destructive action threatens the security and safety of international maritime traffic," the Secretariat said in a press release.
The statement called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to ensure the safety of international maritime traffic and to ensure the stability of regional security.
The UAE's Foreign and International Cooperation Ministry announced on Sunday that four civilian commercial cargo ships from several nationalities were hit by sabotage operations near the Emirati's territorial waters.
