The Secretary General of Tashnag Party MP Hagop Pakradounian, on Tuesday welcomed at the Party's HQ in Burj Hammoud, the new British Ambassador to Lebanon, Chris Rampling, with talks between the pair reportedly touching on the bilateral relations.
MP Pakradounian briefed Ambassador Rampling on the history of the Armenian community and the Tashnaq party in Lebanon, stressing "their role in preserving national constants."
For his part, the British ambassador stressed his country's stand by Lebanon in international forums, upholding its pledges to arm the Lebanese army and support projects that contribute to the development and prosperity of Lebanon.
The two sides also discussed the displaced Syrians' dossier, stressing "the need for a safe return to Syria."
Discussions also covered the UK stance vis-a-vis regional and Lebanese matters.
On the other hand, Pakradounian met with the Counselor for Political and Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Lebanon, Hans Wechsel, with whom he discussed Lebanese and regional dossiers.
