Damascus, SANA- Members of the People’s Assembly called for raising a lawsuit against those who provoke, participate or contribute to harming the Syrians and who prevented them from exercising their constitutional right to take part in the presidential election.

The Assembly, in a session held on Monday and chaired by Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh, held discussions on the latest presidential election, with some MPs affirming that fulfilling the election entitlement and announcing its results with the winning of Dr. Bashar al-Assad in the post of the President has sent many messages to the Arab region and the world that the political and administrative structure in Syria are active and competent.

Other MPs added that despite the war and the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria, but the Syrian people have proven that they are the most qualified ones to apply democracy.
