Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli issued on Tuesday 9/8/2022 decree no. 2738/2022 on launching a national initiative for smart green projects in all governorates under the supervision of the Planning Ministry.

The initiative shows the state’s keenness to deal with the environmental dimension and climate change, as well as drawing a map for all smart green projects nationwide.

Under the decree, a committee, headed by Hesham Badr, the general coordinator of international conferences at the Planning Ministry, will be formed.

The committee will include representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Environment, ICT, Local Development, Planning, and International Cooperation, as well as representatives of the National Council for Women and civil society.

The decree was published in the official gazette.
