Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underscored the importance of applying the “Advanced Cargo Information” system at customs ports through the National Single Window for Foreign Trade Facilitation and ACI Cargo Pre-Registration System.

The measure is playing a pivotal role in achieving governance quality of measures and making all procedures easy in order to reduce customs clearance time and costs of imports and exports, Madbouli added in remarks on Wednesday.

The premier was chairing a meeting to follow up on the executive situation of the ACI national window system at customs harbors.

The move is also aiming to making it easy for business community, he said, affirming the importance of upgrading the performance of the system in logistics centers to ensure an integration of digital transformation projects, carried out by the state.

Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir and Minister of Trade and Industry Nivine Gamea attended the meeting along with several senior state officials.

During the meeting, Maait tdiscussed development works of the customs system, ACI Cargo Pre-Registration System and Nafeza system.

Egypt launched the Nafeza system with the objective of modernizing and automating customs administration, simplify procedures, and reduce clearance times.
