PM: Sisi orders accelerating Upper Egypt’s projects

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered accelerating the implementation of projects that serve the Upper Egypt residents, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Saturday 18/12/2021.

Sisi, personally and periodically, monitors the implementation rates of these projects, he added during an inspection tour of Aswan governorate, Madbouli said.

A recent Cabinet meeting has reviewed the current situation of development and service projects implemented in Aswan, efforts to cope with heavy rains, and ways to enhance the exceptional tourist and archaeological components that the governorate enjoys, he added.

The premier hailed Benban Solar Park project as a clear indication that the Egyptian government is moving towards supporting clean and environmentally compatible energy projects.

Benban is a complex of 41 solar power plants established in Aswan to become the biggest solar photovoltaic park in the world.

During the tour, Madbouli also inspected development works of roads leading to the Kima 2 factory.

He also toured the plant, before inspecting new projects in the New Aswan city, which is built on an area of 22,000 feddans and includes residential areas, investment and service zones, entertainment hubs, an industrial area and an Olympic village.
