Police said Wednesday that they had arrested a man suspected of robbing a foreign exchange firm in a northern Amman neighborhood a few days ago. A spokesman for the Public Security Department said in a statement that the incident occurred on March 9th in the Tariq area of northeastern Amman when a masked and knife-wielding man stormed an exchange office and robbed JD7,000. Soon afterwards, police agents launched an extensive investigation and managed within a few days to zero in on a suspect and his whereabouts. Following his arrest, the suspect admitted to the robbery and that he deposited the amount in his bank account.
