Political leadership directs officials to activate solid waste management system nationwide

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Sunday that the state is exerting great efforts in the current phase to implement an overall plan to develop a solid waste management system nationwide within the presidency’s directives.

This came during his meeting with Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawy, Environment Minister Yasmeen Fouad, Military Production State Minister Mohamed Ahmed Morsy, Head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Moneim Al-Tarras and others to follow up the implementation of the first and second phases of the new solid waste management system.

The premier noted the importance of the project to enhance environmental and health situation, limit pollution, reach a national industry to manage wastes and provide more job opportunities.
