Hama, Upon the directions of President Bashar al-Assad, Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Saturday visited Hama province and inspected wheat harvesting and marketing in the area.
Khamis visited a number of wheat fields in Tomin town in Hama's southwestern countryside , accompanied by of Agriculture Minister Ahmad al-Qadiri and Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Minister Atef Naddaf.
The Premier listened to the difficulties which the farmers in the province face, and gave instructions to help overcome these difficulties and facilitate the marketing of wheat.
The Premier also visited the silos and marketing center in Kafar Bihm and the grain receiving center in Suqailbyia city.
He also held a meeting at the General Commission for Management and Development of Al-Ghab in which he stressed the importance of al-Ghab area in achieving food security, calling for doubling efforts to invest in the area in the best manner.
