Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman has expressed his appreciation of the success of the Madinah Investment Forum, which was held here recently, and praised the significant role played by the Madinah Chamber in organizing the forum.
The governor’s remarks came during a reception he hosted for a number of Madinah officials and dignitaries, including president of the Madinah Chamber, Mohammed Faraj Al-Khatrawi, who attributed the forum’s success to Prince Faisal’s support and encouragement.
He commended Prince Salman for encouraging investment in the region, taking advantage of its economic status, as well as his “Made in Madinah” initiative. During the forum, Prince Faisal announced the establishment of the Investment Council and Nama Madinah Company.
The Investment Council will study all aspects of the investment climate and its priorities in the city. It will also monitor ongoing investment projects.
Al-Khatrawi described the prince’s initiatives as the greatest success of the forum, noting that the formation of the investment council would ensure continuity of investment projects in Madinah. “The forum will accelerate the efforts to achieve sustainable economic development in the region and help attract more investments,” he added.
