Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD), Maj. Gen. Obaidullah Maaytah, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, with the United Nations Resident Coordinator, Sheri Ritsema-Anderson , and Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Yahia Khasba, especially in providing humanitarian services. During a meeting on Wednesday, Maaytah said the PSD seeks to find “true” partnerships with all international and local organizations, which would support its efforts to achieve its goals. Maaytah also noted level of joint cooperation and coordination between the PSD and all UN organizations had “positive” outcomes in implementing its related various duties. The PSD, he said, is looking forward to realizing further cooperation with the United Nations in various fields that serve the directorate’s goals and contribute to develop its work system. For her part, Anderson lauded the PSD’s “advanced” work system , which is in line with the “highest” international standards, which would contribute to preserving the Jordanian society’s security and safety and protecting public rights and freedoms.
