QATAR, SYRIAN OPPOSITION DISCUSS RECENT DEVELOPMENTS

DOHA, Qatar, Qatar's Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, discussed with heads of the Syrian opposition, situation and developments in Syria, official media reported.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani reviewed with Riad Hijab, head of the Syrian high negotiations committee, and Anas Al-Abdah, president of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, recent developments on the Syrian front, particularly in the wake of the Russian-Turkish agreement on ceasefire.

The two sides also exchanged points of view, on efforts to reach a political settlement for the Syrian crisis.

The meeting was attended by Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Jawad Abu Hatab, prime minister of the Syrian interim government, and Abdel-Ilah Al-Fahd, secretary general of the Syrian national opposition coalition.
