MP Wehbe Qatisha on Monday said that the Lebanese Forces would confront the attempts to normalize the relation with the Syrian state, highlighting the necessity of the dissociation policy.
"If the state policy includes a recognition of the Syrian regime, the Lebanese Forces will disapprove and will express reservation, because the status of the Syrian state is still undetermined, neither by Russia, nor Iran, nor Turkey," Qatisha told a TV interview.
"If they want to make this issue a cause, we will be on the lookout," he said.
Accordingly, the lawmaker highlighted the necessity of the dissociation policy, stressing that this principle must constitute Lebanon's permanent strategy regarding inter-Arab conflicts.
