Coordinator of the Arab Network for Environment and Development (RAED) Emad el Din Adly has praised the great progress made by “Baladna Hosts the Climate Summit COP 27” initiative on raising awareness about climate change issues nationwide.
He made his remarks on Tuesday 5/7/2022 at a conference organized by the Arab Office for Youth and Environment (AOYE) in cooperation with the Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Risk Reduction (GNDR).
Adly reiterated that the initiative, launched by the Egyptian Sustainable Development Forum (ESDF) in cooperation with RAED, has managed to mobilize the efforts of civil society organizations to raise awareness about the climate change-linked issues among all targeted categories.
The initiative also aims to enable the civil society organizations to take part in the current preparations for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) to be held in Sharm El Sheikh city in November.
