Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) Prince Saud bin Abdullah Al-Thunayan has signed three contracts for the construction and maintenance of a series of educational and engineering projects in the two industrial cities, Saudi Press Agency said.
The projects, worth SR260 million, were awarded to a number of national firms.
The first contract included the construction of four schools (boys and girls) in Jubail Industrial City (JIC) together with the associated facilities such as car parking, water and sanitary networks, air-conditioning and heating, fire-fighting system, TV cable services, CCTV, and sports facilities. Works will run for three years.
The second contract will provide engineering services to the industrial and housing areas (phase II) in Yanbu Industrial City (YIC) in addition to other services related to soil control and telecommunications system.
The third contract, which runs for five years, covers operation and maintenance services to public utility facilities in YIC, the SPA report added.
