The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) expressed Monday its deep concern over the escalating armed violence in Jenin over the past two days following an Israeli large-scale military campaign in the occupied city.
The committee stated that “with every minute that passes in light of this violence, the danger lurking in lives, homes, basic services and infrastructure grows,” noting the need to “respect and protect lives and property.”
“The Israeli forces must ensure unhindered access to health services, shelter, food and water,” the statement reads, demanding that “ambulances and first responders be allowed unhindered access to the wounded and that they be able to provide emergency care without endangering their lives.”
