Tehran, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani said that the Syrian people are the ones who will decide Syria's future, stressing the need for providing support to restore security and stability across the country.
In a statement on Sunday prior to traveling to Ankara to attend the meeting of the presidents of the Astana process guarantor states, Rouhani said that some of the main issues that the meeting will tackle are fighting terrorism, the return of displaced Syrians, and reconstruction.
The Iranian President said the United States supports terrorism in Syria, and that it should stop interfering because its interference has led to the spread of terrorism, noting that the Israeli entity also supported terrorists in Syria and carried out attacks against it.
He also said that the presence of illegal armed and terrorist elements in al-Jazeera area in Syria makes it unsafe.
