MOSCOW, June 11 (NNN-KUNA) -- Russia on Saturday rejected the US forces' strikes against the Syrian troops and their allies.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in a phone call with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, called for adopting what he termed as "specific measures" to prevent recurrence of similar attacks, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
US-led coalition forces bombarded pro-Syrian regime forces that advanced inside de-confliction zone.
The two top diplomats discussed importance of bilateral cooperation to address the conflict in Syria, which broke out in March 2011.
Lavrov and Tillerson agreed to make use of all available channels to settle the Syrian crisis in line with the negotiations in Geneva and Astana, said the statement.
They also agreed to work together to solve international disputes in the Middle East, North Africa and Ukraine.
