MOSCOW, Russia, Russian Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, announced on Thursday, that, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Yuri Borisov, will head to Syria soon.
Bogdanov told Sputnik that, co-chair of the Syrian-Russian Joint Governmental Committee, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Yuri Borisov, is scheduled to attend the committee's upcoming meetings in Damascus.
A source at Borisov's office announced that, he will pay a visit to Syria in Dec.
Last Aug, the Syrian-Russian Joint Governmental Committee held a meeting in Moscow, with Borisov chairing the Russian side, at the Committee, and Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Walid al-Moallem chairing the Syrian side.
The two sides agreed to hold the next meeting in Damascus, before the end of 2018.
