MOSCOW, Russia - A Russian military Adviser has been killed in Syria, Russian Defence Ministry said, on Tuesday.
Russian news agency (Interfax), quoted ministry sources as saying, the adviser, whose name nor rank were disclosed, was killed after shelling by Syrian government forces, in Homat province.
The sources added, the Russian was training Syrian government forces.
Since 2015, Russia dispatched forces to Syria, in efforts to combat terrorist groups, which resulted in the killing of 18 Russian soldiers, among them three pilots.
