Mumbai: Rickets for Sachin Tendulkar’s 200th Test, his farewell match beginning on Thursday, have sold out.
The 5000 tickets that went on sale were grabbed in a flash despite the website Kyazoonga crashing at times. According to organisers 20 million buyers logged on to the Kyazoonga site wanting to buy the tickets.
Only 5000 tickets were put up for sale for the general public. The capacity of the stadium is only 32,000 following the installation of bucket seats across the venue ahead of the 2011.
After 329 clubs which will be given a maximum of 25 tickets, and Mumbai Cricket Association and the Board of Control for Cricket in India ‘s commitments to their sponsors only 5000 tickets were available for sale.
