RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Jan 31 – Two new cases of Mers virus were reported in Saudi Arabia, in the last 24 hours, Saudi Press news agency reported.
The Saudi Arabian Health Ministry said Friday, the latest infections were reported in Riyadh
and Hafof, and brings to 845, the total number of cases since 2012.
A total of 364 patients have died from the virus and 475 have recovered.
The ministry has announced the appointment of experts from US-based Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to help curb the spread of infectious and non-communicable diseases, including Mers.
