Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry today condemned the racist statements made earlier this week by hard-right Israeli Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich in which he called for the Palestinian village of Huwara to be wiped out.

The Ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s complete rejection of the “racist and irresponsible statement, which reflects the amount of violence and extremism practiced by the occupying Israeli regime against the brotherly Palestinian people.”

It also stressed its call for the international community to assume its responsibilities to deter “these shameful practices, stop escalation, and provide the necessary protection to civilians.”
