The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary General Hala Al Ansari met with the Bahrain Women Union President.

The meeting discussed the efforts of supporting Bahraini women and the importance of enhancing family stability in the Kingdom, within the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two sides.

Al Ansari stressed SCW’s keenness on holding coordination meetings with civil society organizations to advance women and family progress.

The meeting highlighted the advances in developing the system of legislation and decisions related to women, family law, and protection from domestic violence law.

The meeting also discussed the services provided to women, raising their economic participation and contribution to public life, in addition to the importance of supporting civil society organizations and providing suitable workplaces for them to help them carry on with their voluntary work and community service.
