Damascus, SANA- Palestinian Embassy in Damascus held Tuesday an event entitled “Support stand for our heroic captives” in solidarity with the Palestinian prisons and detainees at the Israeli occupation prisons.
Delivering a speech while participating at the event, Special Adviser at the Presidency of the Republic, Buthaina Shaaban said that the voices of Palestinian detainees and captives at the Israeli prisons and the crimes being perpetrated against them by the Israeli entity must be conveyed to everywhere in this world.
Dr. Shaaban saluted the prisoners and the Palestinian people, men, women and children who “are not only defending Palestine but also every Arab citizen”.
Shaaban affirmed that the Israeli occupation entity wants to dominate the region, “so every Arab must embrace the issues of prisoners, Palestine and the resistance”, and that we all must unite for the future of our children and grandchildren.
Dr. Shaaban pointed out that the issue of prisoners is everyone’s responsibility, and we have to devote the media to serving the Palestinian cause and its resistant people.
In turn, the Palestinian ambassador in Damascus, Samir al-Rifai, said that the Israeli occupation is the most horrific type of occupation in history, and the policies and rules applied in its prisons aim to undermine the health, mind and psychology of the prisoners within the framework of a systematic war of attrition that disregards all international conventions and covenants.
