Minister of Education and Higher Learning, Akram Shehayeb, began his meetings in Brussels on the sidelines of the Brussels Conference on the support of Syria and the region.
He held a meeting with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Affairs, Johannes Han, in the presence of the European Commissioner for the Middle East, Michael Miller, and the Ambassador of the European Union Lebanon, Christina Lassen, with talks touching on the plan of the Ministry of Education to provide education to all children living on Lebanese soil, including displaced persons.
The meeting touched on Lebanon's financial and logistical needs to keep shouldering the burden of displacement.
The minister called on the EU and donor countries to "provide long-term support and fulfill the various needs for the coming years by closing the financial gaps."
